TEACHING OUR STUDENTS

The Brantford Montessori House of Children offers three different programs for your children; Toddler, Casa (Pre-school) and Lower Elementary. Each program is specially designed for each student’s personal stage of development. Through hands on experience, each child develops skills and awareness at his or her own pace. He or she progresses through an ordered series of learning activities presented in Montessori didactic materials that cover all aspects of the educational curriculum as well as practical life skills.

Each program builds off the last to ensure detailed and supported education that encourages both interpersonal and intra-personal development. We believe that to be an effective educational institution, students should be motivated by their basic love of learning.

PROGRAMS OFFERED

School year programs operate from the first Tuesday in September through to the end of June. We also offer summer programs from the second week in July through to the third week in August.

All programs include extra-curricular instruction in French, Music, Swimming, Physical Education and Computer Skills.

COMPUTER SKILLS

FIELD TRIPS

The school arranges field trips that relate to the themes of learning including visits to the museum, local farms, the zoo, local fire hall and other sites to show the children what they learn in the classroom. The parent can attend these trips also. Usually the transportation is by school bus.
